Job Title: Sr. Program Manager - Certified Public Manager, Civic Tech
Duration: 12 months (W2 contract)
Location: Atlanta, GA (Onsite attendance, occasional evening/weekend engagement reqd.)
Work Timing: Hybrid; up to 40 hours per week, with schedule adjustments for community events as needed

Job Overview:
Seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Program Manager – Community & Digital Services to support IT leadership and drive inclusive digital transformation. This hybrid role blends program oversight, operational leadership, and high-impact public engagement to ensure community needs and user experience are at the core of digital initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a strategic advisor and operational partner to the IT Director
  • Represent leadership in internal meetings, stakeholder engagements, and public forums
  • Lead civic innovation efforts and drive initiatives centered on digital equity and access
  • Manage teams focused on UX, stakeholder outreach, vendor coordination, and community engagement
  • Plan and execute community-focused programs, including NPUs, town halls, and civic tech collaborations
  • Build partnerships with nonprofits, universities, community groups, and tech partners
  • Develop and oversee resident feedback channels to inform digital service delivery
  • Lead development of media and outreach materials (e.g., newsletters, podcasts, social content)
  • Oversee customer service training and internal communication efforts
  • Collaborate with departments and external stakeholders on cross-functional initiatives.
Skills Requirements:
  • Proven experience in community engagement, digital program management, and public sector initiatives
  • Prior experience engaging with residents, neighborhood leaders, clergy, NPU Chairs and Presidents, business leaders, nonprofit leaders, colleges and universities, visitors, and people across all areas of the City of Atlanta
  • Strong leadership, facilitation, and communication skills
  • Familiarity with government operations and civic engagement processes
  • Availability for evening/weekend events, with flexible scheduling (up to 40 hrs./week)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified Public Manager (CPM) certification
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field
  • Experience in civic tech or digital service delivery
  • Familiarity with human-centered or service design
  • Performance measurement and community feedback experience
  • Background working with underserved communities
